Project Lab Ko ‘To (March 12, 2012)
After hardcore brainstorming and voting thru fb likes and days of preparation, Project Lab Ko ‘To turned into a reality last March 12 at Balara High School. It was so nice to be part of the organizing team. Kakaibang experience! Well for one, gusto ko talaga ng mga ganitong endeavors.

This project aims to renovate the high school laboratory by donating glasswares, reagents, lab manuals, cabinets, repainting tables and teaching the students basic lab techniques. The culminating activity was held last March 12 which was a mini-Science camp for the students.

I hosted the event. And sa buong hosting career ko, this was the wildest audience to date. Sobrang kulit ng mga bata! Considering na they are part of the top 20 of their batch. I think that also explains why they were very eager and very curious. Nakakatuwa naman. Pero kelangan lang talaga ng patience. This made me wonder how their teachers are able to handle them. Ang taas lagi ng energy level nila! Nakakaloka!

The program was composed of lectures and demonstrations of basic lab techniques and experiments such as titration and ice cream making. The students were so game! Lahat ng random games na naisip namin to kill time while waiting for the food, pinatulan nila. Even when we asked them to present a skit in order to endorse the ice cream they made, they were very willing to dance and throw witty lines na very impromptu. Nakakatuwa!

Another thing that I liked about these kids is their sweetness. Or sadyang sipsip lang sila. Well, sakin. hahaha. Siguro dahil ako yung naghost. Pero during the break, they were already telling me stories like how student council elections happen in their school and the like. I was also asking them regarding their plans for college. And in fairness to them, alam na alam nila kung ano ang gusto nila sa buhay. Amazing! Even when we were about to end the program na, they said na they will miss me daw. Awww:) Kahit sobrang kulit nila, such sweet gestures made me appreciate them more.

With the bibo kids:) Cute!

Even though it was very tiring, sobrang fulfilling naman nung activity. Marami ring KEMers na pumunta. Yay! Congrats UP KEM for hosting a worthwhile event like this. Once again, we were able to touch other people’s hearts. Naks!

And of course congrats to us Project Lab Ko ‘To team and to the whole team sec! We did it! Woohoo!:)
Gong Cha and Chatime (March 10, 2012)
Bubble Tea Spot No. 5 & 6: Gong Cha and Chatime
Tried Gong Cha Milk Black Tea from Gong Cha MOA and Pearl Milk Tea from Chatime Gateway. Funny how I was able to easily convert my dad and brother into milk tea addicts. So kahit sobrang busog kami, game pa rin sila to try Grass Jelly Roasted Milk Tea, Winter Melon Milk Tea and Lychee Milk Tea:)
UAAP Streetdance Competition (March 10, 2012)
The things I do for PE. haha:) Watched the UAAP Closing Ceremony at the PICC, which featured a streetdance competition. Good thing my dad and brother were here to accompany me. Was not able to finish the program though. But nonetheless, congrats UP for winning 2nd place!:)
Street Fuzion (March 9, 2012)
Watched UP Streetdance Club’s dance concert with Ayen, Kat and Megan:) And dahil kasabay siya ng EOEA finals, we were going back and forth the Eng’g theater and UP theater. Define effort! Pero okay lang because UP KEM won and the performers were amazing as usual:)
Banapple (March 8, 2012)
Banapple date with Ayen and Mia:) A big hooray for chicken breast parmigiana and yoho cheesecake! Yummm:)
Gravy Fix (March 7, 2012)
Dinner with Mia at Gravy Fix Katipunan:) After many attempts of trying the place, natuloy na din. Because I like gravy and dips, naappreciate ko yung food. They have different gravy variants. We had the original and mushroom gravy then hot banana split for dessert. Ang tagal pa namin nagkwentuhan so as in mag-close na sila- in the act of cleaning the whole place when we left. Bentaa! haha:)
Fukushima Hula Girls (March 7, 2012)
Watched the documentary film “Fukushima Hula Girls” at the UP Film Institute for our STS class:)
Elev80’s (February 29, 2012)
Watched Elevate, UP Pep Squads’s annual concert with Geordy, Hal and Ayen:) Records Bonding!! Yay! Actually, we watched it because it was a requirement for our PE class. Well, pinanuod ni Hal for friendship. HAHA. Ang galing nilang sumayaw- jazz, ballet, hiphop, etc. Amazing!:) Plus free cornetto disc. Wee!:)
Mercato (February 24, 2012)
Went to Mercato with Sheilah, Mia and Emman last Friday to visit the MEA Food Bazaar which ran from 3-9pm. It sounded nice because we do not have to wait for the Midnight Mercato to be able to eat. In fairness talaga sa paghahanap namin sa Mercato, medyo naikot na namin ang buong The Fort. Sorry na, hindi kami familiar sa place eh. Buti mabait si kuya taxi driver and he was very patient in following our not-so-helpful instructions:)

Because I was very hungry, I chose to have a rice meal first before trying other food. Apparently, it was a bad choice kasi busog na ako after so hindi ko na rin kaya kumain pa. Had liempo with salted egg and tomato plus isaw marinated in barbecue sauce and Mochaccino Milk Tea from Happy Fanshu. Konti lang yung stalls so we decided to wait for Midnight Mercato to be able to try more food.

While waiting, we watched This Means War. I really liked the movie! Sobrang funny and nakakakilig. I think it’s also a plus na sobrang lakas din tumawa ng mga kasama namin sa moviehouse so the laughter was really contagious. Grabeee!:) “Don’t choose the better guy. Choose the guy who will make you a better girl.” O di ba? Pasabog!:)

The movie ended just in time for Midnight Mercato. Food was everywhere! Sa sobrang dami, nakaka-overwhelm. Knowing me na very indecisive when it comes to choosing what to eat, I didn’t know what to buy considering na busog pa rin naman ako. Some booths had free taste promos which were very tempting.

I really don’t know why of all the food, I bought Mozarella Chicken Teriyaki Paella. Eh hello? Rice din kaya yun so mas nakakabusog. Bobo lang talaga! It was only after I placed my order when I realized that I made a wrong decision. So I had no choice but to eat it despite my very full stomach.

For dessert, we had mochi ice cream:) I tried vanilla rose, Mia ate cookie dough, Sheilah had green tea and Emman tried black sesame. I did not like mine because the dough tasted like a rose. As in literally para akong kumakain ng rose. Buti pink siya so pwede na rin. HAHA:)

Aww. Our friendship mochis:)

Definitely, it was a fun-filled adventure. Intense ang tawanan even when we were just walking. As what we would say, sayang almost perfect night na sana if only we could have bumped into our soulmates (or mine for that matter, ehem! haha) But nevertheless, it was a perfect night to be with friends. Thank you Mia, Sheilah and Emman! Sobrang nag-enjoy ako!:)
Unofficially Yours (February 15, 2012)
Last full show of Unofficially Yours with the girls:) Dahil fan ako ni John Lloyd and maganda ang theme song, I really wanted to watch the movie. Funny siya actually! Marami rin kaming naitawa because of some scenes and lines. HAHA. Though there were draggy scenes and nakakadistract ang fats ni JL. Buti na lang may angles talaga na cute si John Lloyd. Unfortunately, sobra akong inaantok during the movie kaya medyo tinamad akong kiligin. haha. But for what it’s worth, sana may magmahal din sakin ng ganun. Yehess! Maka-emo lang:)
Dinner at Bigoli and dessert from Red Mango. In fairness, natuwa talaga ako sa Mango Berry Crush. Wee!!:)
